<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter for a translucent liquid crystal display device with transparent parts in a light reflection region wherein areas of the transparent parts are made to be uniform and further the areas of the transparent parts are made to be smaller and uniform. <P>SOLUTION: On at least a corner of an opening of a black matrix 2, formed on a substrate 1, with the rectangular opening, the transparent part 7 with a triangular shape of which the two edges are ends a, b of the black matrix on the corner of the opening and the remaining one edge is an end c of a coloring layer inside the opening is provided. The transparent parts are provided on two corners diagonally opposite to each other of the opening.
