<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack capable of stably and uniformly controlling the temperature of respective secondary batteries of a battery assembly composed of a plurality of secondary batteries in a prescribed temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The battery pack is composed of a battery assembly 5 comprising a plurality of secondary batteries 2 arranged in parallel with each other with heat exchange medium passages 3 passing heat exchange medium arranged between the batteries; heat insulation covers 11, 12 made of heat insulation material covering almost a whole peripheral part of the battery assembly 5 while keeping a space for a supply channel 9 and an exhaust channel 10 supplying and exhausting the heat exchange medium to and from the heat exchange medium passages between the battery assembly 5 and themselves; and a supplying means 14 supplying heat exchange medium to the supply channel 9. The temperature of almost whole surfaces of respective secondary batteries is effectively and uniformly controlled by exchanging the heat by flowing the heat exchange medium through the heat exchange medium passage 3.
