PURPOSE: A system for providing information by using a message transmitting and receiving function of a mobile communication equipment and a method therefor are provided to search and provide specialized information at low cost by installing search servers taking exclusive charge of collecting, searching, and providing information. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication provider server(30) has a transmitting and receiving function of messages including character messages and voice messages. A plurality of search servers(50) have an own virtual telephone number and are connected with the mobile communication provider server(30) through a communication network(40), each having a database(60) storing message information in format required by a message transmitting and receiving service. The mobile communication provider server(30) transmits the received message to the search server having the virtual telephone number corresponding to a receiver telephone number included in the message received from a mobile communication terminal(10). The search server searches the database for message information related to a search keyword included in the received message and transmits the searched and extracted message information to the mobile communication terminal(10). |
