RAMAN AMPLIFICATION SYSTEM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Raman amplification system in which a transmission distance of an optical signal is extended longer when output of transmission power is increased.

SOLUTION: In the Raman amplification system provided with a light source 13 for Raman amplification outputting excited light F from a transmission terminal station 10 side to an optical fiber 30, the optical fiber 30 has a first optical fiber 31 whose one end is connected to the transmission terminal station 10 and a second optical fiber 33 connected to the other end of the first optical fiber 31, and the core diameter of the first optical fiber 31 is formed larger than the core diameter of the second optical fiber 33.
