METHOD FOR PRODUCING HIGHLY PURIFIED PYROLIGNEOUS ACID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a highly purified pyroligneous acid which removes methanol and formaldehyde, harmful substances to a living body, from pyroligneous acid and removes phenol depending on the use.

SOLUTION: The method for producing a highly purified pyroligneous acid comprises distilling pyroligneous acid under reduced pressure to remove methanol present in the pyroligneous acid and then performing purification by bringing the resulting pyroligneous acid into contact with an amino group-containing biopolymer to remove formaldehyde present in the pyroligneous acid.
