PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DNA useful for producing an AX1 ligand-bound domain protein by a recombination method, to provide an expression vector containing the DNA, to provide an Escherichia coli host cell transformed with the expression vector, to provide a method for producing the AX1 ligand-bound domain protein with the transformant, and to provide a screening method using the AX1 ligand-binding domain protein.

SOLUTION: This AX1 ligand-binding domain protein which is the following protein (a) or (b) and has an activity to bind to Gas 6. (a) A protein comprising a specific amino acid sequence. (b) A protein is composed of the specific amino acid sequence wherein one or several amino acids are deleted, replaced or added.
