Compsn. preventing tooth discolouration and tartar deposition comprises >=1 Zn and/or Cu (II) complex of a beta-diketone having the formula: CH3-(CH2)n-CO-CH2-CO-(CH2)m-CH3 (in which n and m are 0 or 1). Acetylacetonate complexes of Zn or Cu(II) are prefd. These cpds. are more economical than metal complexes of some prior art fluorinated org. cpds., and exhibit no ill-effects. |
