<p>A membrane filter comprises a series of parallel, spaced membranes with flat seals between them and with aligned openings for solution, concentrate and permeate. Each opening for solution and for concentrate is fitted with a distributor/collector for the uniform flow distribution of the liquid into/out of it. The membrane is pref. semi-permeable, surrounding the filter element and separating the solution and permeate chambers. Each distributor/collector is pref. part of the flat seal. Improved uniformity of distribution and consequently of overall efficiency, is achieved.</p> |
