The adhesive tape dispenser has a mounting accommodating a tape roll so that it can rotate, and a moistening unit over which the tape slides a parting device being situated nearby. Attached to the roll mounting (12) is a main reservoir (16) for the moistening fluid, with an auxiliary reservoir (22) above and connected to it by a port (24). The lower position of the moistening unit (28) is immersed in the auxiliary reservoir via an opening (26) in the top. The upper end of the unit extends into the path of the tape (52). A holding flap (36) pivots at the forward end of the dispenser, in front of the auxiliary reservoir.
