Gasifying sewage, neutralising alkalis, decarbonising acids - using submerged rotor, intensifying contact between gas and fluid

A down pipe feeds a gas such as air, smoke fumes, ozonised air, etc. to the side of the rotor turned towards the surface, whilst the underside sucks up the surrounding fluid and disperses both media at the rotor outlet. The rotor acts like a double blow pump or fan its wheel having vanes on both surfaces. The vanes extend beyond the circumference of the hum with top and bottom vanes in alignment. On the gas vanes, at least where they project beyond the hub, guide flanges are fitted. These project at right angles to the rotor axis in the direction of motion, over a shorter distance than the pitch of adjacent vanes. Design stabilises the dishlike flow of the mixed gas and fluid projecting it outwards horizontally farther, so that contact time between gas and fluid is increased.
