Speed limiting system for vehicles - has speed dependent servo adjusted throttle stop set according to tachogenerator

The engine speed is limited by an accelerator pedal stop (4) displaceable by a servo unit (1). The accelerator pedal is connected to the servo by a connecting red containing an extendable part (2). An accelerator rod movement recorder (5) shows the actual accelerator position stop (4) when the extendable part is not extended. The movement recorder (5) output is fed to a regulator (13). The regulator receives an actual speed signal from a tacho generator and a max. value setting (14). When the max speed is reached the servo motor (1) exercises a return force to the accelerator pedal which can be overcome by manual force.
