<p>The inertial safety switch is fitted with a bob weight. The bob weight (3) is fitted on the end of a shaft (2) held in the centre of the switch housing by sets of locating springs. The shaft can be tilted in any direction to operate the hazard warning contacts, or can be moved axially for the same effect. The switch thus provides all round protection so that the hazard flashers are operated independent of the position of the vehicle after an accident, even with the vehicle on its back.</p> |
