<p>A document of letter file has a backing strip made from a sheet of plastics, with holes for attaching it to the file cover and for receiving a strip of flexible plastics (4) which passes through the holes punched in the edges of the documents. A retaining strip (2) is stamped out of the main backing strip apart from two narrow bridges (3). When the documents are placed in the file the retaining strip (2) is torn off through the bridges (3) and fitted over the pointed ends of the flexible strip (4). These ends are then folded over the strip (2) to hold the document in place. Making the retaining trip a tear-off part of the backing strip (1) reduces the manufacturing costs.</p> |
