The machine for removing underwater plants is used for plants growing in flat bottomed weirs or lakes. The machine travels along the bottom of the lake and it has tools for tearing out or chopping up of plants groving in the lake bottom. A trailing net or suction tube is used to collect torn out or chopped plants and other material. The machine can be a self propelled, hydraulically driven tracklaying vehicle steered from the surface.
