The candle holder assembly is used especially for religious rites. This candle holder assembly has a collector for melted wax and chandle holders which facilitate the downwards flow of molten wax are arranged above the collector tray. This holder assembly is readily cleaned from overflowing wax. A heating element (6) is connected to the collector tray. This heater can be an electrical resistance element and the element is flat and arranged directly below the collector tray. A number of heating elements can also be distributed below the tray to melt the wax and and the tray may have a thermostatic switch in the electrical circuit of heating elements.
