<p>Mirror or antique-type panel assemblies are to be fastened to a wall or other underlay, with a number of them in a row, each in a wide-membered protruding frame and in a set of narrow frame-type battens, profiled or decoratively finished. Prefabricated basic elements (1), comprising rectangular pane (5) and top and bottom horizontal frame members (6, 7) are nailed or glued to the wall in a lengthways row, with vertical pane edges abutting. A basic element on one side of the vertical joint has a vertical frame member (8) between the horizontal members, but not the one on the other side. A vertical batten (17) in a prefabricated batten assembly (2) spans the joint, partially covering a vertical member side and a facing side of the mirror (11), to form a homogenous panel assembly for easy fastening.</p> |
