The vehicle for cleaning ballast bedding, sleepers and other parts of railway track is a rail-mounted wagon with pref. a series of suction nozzles close together, linked to a vehicle-mounted dirt container. A number of pairs of air ducting elements are fitted to the mouth of each suction nozzle, sited close together, and independently and automatically adjustable for height. The elements in each pair are sited on both sides of the mouth, and linked to each other for raising and lowering together. Each may be a swivelling segment, with limited down swing.
