PURPOSE:To obtain this passive system seat belt that its operation is positive and simple, by forming a tongue portion by a base tongue, to which a connecting tooth is mounted, and covers, to which teeth for release are installed. CONSTITUTION:Side covers 22, 23 are mounted at both sides of a base tongue 21 of a tongue portion 2 by means of a caulking pin 31 through a long hole 21b so that the base tongue 21 can relatively be moved. A connecting tooth 21e with a steep inclination, which connects to a hand-scotch 43, is installed to one side edge of the tongue 21, and teeth 22c and 23c with gentle inclinations for releasing connection between said tooth 21e and the hand-scotch 43 are each mounted to side edges at the same side as the tooth 21e in the side covers 22, 23. Thus, when left moving the covers 22, 23 along long holes 21a, 21b relatively to the tongue 21, the teeth 22c, 23c are stacked on the tooth 21e, the teeth 22c, 23c outward push the hand- scotch 43 against the force of a spring 44, and connection is released. |
