<p>The ignition sparks are displayed by one or several light emitting diodes, or other electronic signalling elements on a motor vehicle dashboard, or on a suitable place in case of a motorcycle etc. This display can pref. be arranged as a pluggable unit. In case of permanent mounting it can be switchable. The ignition sparks of each cylinder may be displayed individually, sequentially, or all togther, possibly with the use of digital display diodes. This display gives a driver the facility to consider, by which defect an inappropriate running of the engine is caused. It can be driven by pulses of the contact breaker, or inductively, or capacitively from the ignition voltage.</p> |
