The plug-in module is for a mining control panel, and consists of a printed circuit board with a transistorised transmitter-receiver section. It can be plugged in to transmitter-receiver section. It can be plugged in to a U-shaped support rack. There is a contact strip along the rear edge of the board for plugging into the power supply and the signal supply cables of the panel. An adaptor card in the same plate as the printed circuit board (2) can be inserted between the two arm (42a, 42b) of the support frame (4). It has a matching contact strip (31) to that of the printed circuit board. This contact strip at the front edge of the adaptor is connected to a second contact strip at the rear (35) to form a coupling.
