The invention relates to a casing, in particular for deodorant sticks (1), in which the stick, seated in front of an axially displaceable pressure bottom (14), can be advanced by a screwing movement and is covered by a covering cap (7) having a free space (F) for the screwed-out stick. A simple constructional shape is proposed, in which the stick (1) is adjusted during the unscrewing movement of the covering cap (7) due to the fact that the direction of an adjusting thread is opposite to the free direction of rotation of a return locking mechanism (S) and that an elastic coupling (K) is provided between the covering cap (7) and the housing tube (2), which coupling engages when the covering cap (7) is completely screwed on and is released when the deodorant stick (1) strikes against the inside surface (7') of the covering cap (7) during the unscrewing movement of the covering cap. <IMAGE>
