The invention relates to a shower cubicle having a trough, which is pivotable from a horizontal position of use to an at least approximately vertical position of rest, and having side walls which can be pivoted with vertical axes and are preferably hinged to a frame. A shower cubicle of this type requires comparatively little space in its collapsed position of rest. In the position of use, however, the side walls and the trough are pivoted out, resulting in particular difficulties in terms of good sealing. If a shower cubicle of this type is not used in a wet room, but in living areas, for example in conjunction with other built-in furniture, water leaking out of the interior of the shower cubicle must be reliably avoided. On the other hand, a shower cubicle of this type is also to be easy to use and allow expedient adaptation to the respective site of use. It is therefore proposed according to the invention that a front-opening door is arranged on at least one side wall for closing or exposing the entry into the shower cubicle and is preferably hinged on, and that the side walls and the front-opening door can be engaged with the trough in their position of use, and/or means are provided, in such a way that water can drain from the side walls and/or the front-opening door into the interior of the trough. <IMAGE>
