PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antimicrobial article which is suppressed in coloration intrinsic to an inorg antimicrobial agent and is free of a change in the color tone of the article even if the inorg antimicrobial agent is formulated with the article and to make it possible to easily produced this article without requiring intricate stages. SOLUTION: This antimicrobial article is formulated with the inorg antimicrobial agent of <=100 nm in average grain size and is suppressed in the coloration intrinsic to the inorg antimicrobial agent. The inorg antimicrobial agent is activated by irradiating the antimicrobial article formulated with the inorg antimicrobial agent of <100 nm in average grain size with energy. The antimicrobial article is formulated with the inorg antimicrobial agent and is suppressed in the coloration intrinsic to the inorg antimicrobial agent, by which the article is made colorless and transparent and the coloration thereof is mitigated and the antimicrobial article having the color tone intrinsic to the article is obtd.
