PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information input device capable of precisely detecting a position of a writing instrument even when a writing is made on a booklet-like recording medium having a plurality of sheets bound.SOLUTION: An information input system 1 comprises a plurality of reception units 3 and a notebook cover 4 which has a notebook fixation part 411 capable of fixing a notebook in an arrangement region 41. A peripheral region 42 is provided at a periphery of the arrangement region 41. The peripheral region 42 at least includes a first region 42L and a second region 42R. A first reception unit 31L is provided in the first region 42L. Second reception units 31R, 32R are provided in a second region 42R. The first region 42L is a region, which is at a predetermined distance A or longer from a first virtual line 10 to the left, of the peripheral region 42. The second region 42R is a region, which is at the predetermined distance A or longer from the first virtual line 10 to the right, of the peripheral region 42.
