Cephalosporins of the formula <IMAGE> wherein R is hydrogen, sodium, potassium or certain ester groups; R1 is in the alpha -configuration and is hydrogen or methoxy; R2 is hydrogen, <IMAGE> +TR <IMAGE> X is hydrogen, <IMAGE> <IMAGE> +TR <IMAGE> R4 is hydrogen or lower alkyl; R5 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, <IMAGE> -(CH2)n-N-(lower alkyl)2; R6 is hydrogen, sodium, or potassium; n is an integer from 1 to 4; are disclosed. These compounds are useful as anti-bacterial agents.
