Process for the operation of a central heating boiler

In a central heating boiler with a cooling of the heating gases to below the dew point, basic substances and/or condensate adjusted to a basic pH are introduced into the heating gas stream such that they cover the heat exchange surfaces. A neutralisation of the acid condensate occurs in the heating gas stream, and simultaneously a corrosion protection of the heat exchanger surfaces.
