The invention relates to a device for attaching and securing water or feed troughs, which are rectangular in outline, on the side, directed towards the walkway or service passage, of stalls which are installed in particular on seagoing ships, which are divided by a stall partitioning means in the lower region towards the service passage and are provided with at least one holding or suspension strut extending horizontally above said partitioning means. In order to permit a simple and permanently stable attachment and securing, which can also be loaded by being stepped on, of water or feed troughs consisting of thin-walled plastic, a metal load-bearing clip (tie) is provided which engages loosely beneath the trough along an outwardly angled-off opening edge on the two narrow sides and on at least the front longitudinal side. Said metal load-bearing clip (tie) is provided with suspension hooks, engaging movably over the holding or suspension strut, and with alignment supports which extend downwards in the region beneath the suspension hooks, come to bear against the stall partitioning or another component of the stall, define a horizontal holding plane for the trough and have a protective function even when the load-bearing clip (tie) is loaded with a person's weight.
