EXAMPLE:3-(4-Allyl-1-piperazinyl)-2,2-dimethylpropyl methyl 2,6-dimethyl-4-(m- nitrophenyl)-1,4-dihydroxypyridine-3,5-dicarboxylate dihydrochloride salt. USE:A calcium antagonist, having strong and continuous hypotensive action, coronary artery enlarging action, cerebrovasodilator action, bronchiectasis action, platelet aggregation-inhibiting action, etc., and low toxicity. PREPARATION:A compound expressed by formula II is reacted with a compound expressed by formula III and compound expressed by formula IV in a solvent such as THF at 10-150 deg.C to provide the aimed compound expressed by formula I.
