PURPOSE:To improve a sealing function, by fitting the unit of an end surface plate and a reinforcement plate which are put together, on a peripheral groove. CONSTITUTION:At both the ends of a case 3, disc-formed rubber end surface plates 10 closing the case 3 are arranged, and to the external surfaces of the respective end surface plates 10, hard plastic reinforcement plates 11 divided into two are butted. The diameters of the reinforcement plates 11 are same as those of the end surface plates 10, and the plates 11 are provided with split surfaces 11A fitted easily on a cable 1. The end surface plates 10 and the reinforcement plates 11 at both the sides which are put together, and are fitted on and engaged with peripheral grooves 12 at both the ends of the case 3, and at both the ends of the case 3 for the removalproofing of the reinforcement plates 11, internal collars 13 are arranged. Because of the end surface composition of a cage unit for cable connecting sections in this manner, even if the rubber end surface plates 10 are forced to be expanded with the internal pressure of inert gas, the expansion is suppressed by the reinforcement plates 11 on the external surface. Accordingly, the end surface plates 10 excellent in air-tight function are improved, and the reliability of keeping the air-tightness for a long time can be improved.
