PURPOSE:To reduce the burden on a designer and to prevent a wrong input, by temporarily arranging part numbers by setting a part number area to each part and performing prescribed adjustment. CONSTITUTION:The CPU 11 of a computer is connected with not only an on-line storage device 12, such as a magnetic disk, etc., and a digitizer 13 for inputting graphic forms, but also a display 14, keyboard 15, and tablet 16. In addition, various output devices, such as an X-Y plotter 17, magnetic tape device 18, and paper tape device 19 are also connected to the CPU 11. Therefore, when areas in which part numbers and symbols can be arranged are set and, at the same time, necessary adjustment is made after part numbers are temporarily arranged by setting a part number area to each part, a part arranging plan can be drawn automatically. Accordingly, the burden on the designer is reduced and a wrong input can be prevented.
