According to one embodiment of the present invention, as to a set-top box which personally learns and improves a user interface and a user experience by performing context-awareness function on the basis of multi-modal information, once at least one sensing data are obtained through a communication unit which performs a communication with a broadcasting signal, a built-in sensor, and an external IoT terminal provided to a basic terminal by receiving and processing a broadcasting signal and the built-in sensor or the external IoT terminal, (i) specific context information data showing at least a partial states among figures, objects and environments to which the set-top box pertains are obtained as a result of analyzing at least one obtained sensing data, and (ii) with reference to the database for recording the information about an action item of the basic terminal, which is mapped per type of the context information data, or an action item of the external IoT terminal, provided is a set-top box comprising a processor that supports to perform an action item of the basic terminal or an action item of the external IoT terminal corresponding to the specific context information data. The set-top box according to one embodiment of the present invention provides a user experience that can interact with a user such as a pet by processing multi-modal information, recognizing a situation, and operating various devices in a house in a smart way. |
