The brake system has rotatably mounted brake arms each of which is provided with the friction member at one end portion confronting a corresp. reel table in a vicinity of a rotational side surface of the reel table. The friction members are normally urged toward the reel table through the brake arms. A swing member displaces the friction members in a direction away from the reel table against a force of the urger. A turning arm is connected to one end of the swing member, and is extensible and contractible in a direction of an axis of the turning arm so that when turned in a contracted state, it swings the swing member to bring the friction members away from respectively corresp. reel table.
