<p>The invention relates to winches for towing behind a boat a 'fish' provided with a sonar. The acceleration (112) at the head of the jib is measured and this measurement is used to control an automatic control actuator (106) which then alters the angle of the jib in order to minimize the value of said acceleration. The jerks in the tensile load applied to the cable towing the 'fish' can therefore be reduced.</p> |
