The invention relates to a practice tool for golfers. Within the game of golf, strokes of golf club against golf ball are practised for space and safety reasons on practice ranges outside or indoors in special practice halls. It is desirable for golfers to be able to practise stroke technique also in the home so as thereby more easily to be able to keep in trim body muscles used in the stroke and to maintain or improve ball-striking reliability. The space requirement of the golf club generally however renders practice in the home impossible. The invention solves this problem by achieving a club grip format and weight-matched handle 1 which requires the same manual force for the stroke as does a golf club. At its narrower end, the handle is arranged with a light source 7, usually a bulb, the mirror image of which in a mirror 10, placed on the tee area in front of the golfer, is perceived by the golfer during practice strokes, due to the inertia of the eye, as a clearly prominent light strip. A further mirror 9 is disposed closer to the golfer to monitor the axial motions of the handle 1 and to allow the tool to be calibrated to the individual golfer and to the golf club in question. <IMAGE> |
