<p>A refrigerator (10) includes an evaporator (18) formed from an elongated tube (30) wrapped with a ribbon of material (32) having spine fins (36) extending perpendicularly from the tube. Elongated, horizontal passes of tube are arranged in vertically extending rows (38,40,42) defining vertically extending air flow passages.
