摘要	The dumps are insulated thermally from the ground on which they stand as well as being insulated on their outside. Above this outer insulation, the dumps are landscaped and recultivated. Within the dump a heating element is supplied by an external electrical source and a heat exchanger is connected to an external distribution point whence the heat passes to consumers. The heat storage may be in high or low temp. ranges. Electrical power can be stored in the form of heat energy for later use without requiring reconversion. ADVANTAGE - Low cost energy storage using existing waste dumps.
