PURPOSE:To obtain an antibiotic substance NK11629 having insecticidal and acaricidal activity. CONSTITUTION:The objective antibiotic substance having the following physico- chemical properties: Melting point; 98-102 deg.C Molecular formula; C30H44N2O3. Ultraviolet absorption spectrum (in methanol, lambdamax); 230 + or -3nm (31000) and 280 + or -5nm (8000). Infrared absorption spectrum [main absorption wave numbers (cm<-1>) in KBr are shown]; 3400, 2960, 1740, 1665, 1600, 1375, 1240 and 1050. This antibiotic substance is obtained by culturing Streptoverticillium sp. NK11629 (FERM P-12595) at 20-45 deg.C and a slightly acidic to slightly alkaline pH for 1-5 days according to a liquid culture medium method, especially a submerged spinner culture method, isolating and purifying the substance from microbial cells. |
