The method involves making a sheet metal container with an electrically conducting and magnetic door. The already mfd. body (10) is lubricated. A zinc coating is applied around the door opening (11,18) to the door contact area (13,19) by a flame spraying process. The coating is then masked off, the body of the container is cleaned and lacquered in a conventional manner, and the masking tape is then removed. The door (15,20) to be used is fully chromed onto rustproof material or is lacquered and given a contact area in the same way as the body. Around the contact area of either the door or the body, an elastic and pref. self- adhesive sealing strip (17,22) is attached. ADVANTAGE - Inexpensive construction giving HF RF sealing.
