PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording medium having a low coefft. of friction and low surface electric resistance, hardly causing scratch due to repeated running and not causing the increase of dropout or scratch due to sliding on a resin guide without forming a back coat layer. CONSTITUTION:Plural magnetic layers each having <=10<9>OMEGA/sq surface electric resistance and separately having >=1,000 protrusions of 200-<400nm height per 0.1mm<2>, <=1,000 protrusions of 400<-700nm height per 0.1mm<2> and <=50 protrusions of >=700nm height per 1mm<2> on the surface of a nonmagnetic substrate contg. at least three kinds of particles are provided to obtain the objective magnetic recording medium. A tape cassette with at least one resin guide is packed with the magnetic recording medium to obtain the objective magnetic tape cassette. |
