PURPOSE:To obtain an ink jet recording ink improved in clogging resistance through reducing dye concentration without reducing the recording denseness by specifying the relationship between dye concentration, wetting agent concentration, the equilibrium moisture content of this agent and the dye-dissolving ability of this agent in its equilibrium moisture content. CONSTITUTION:The objective ink satisfying the relationship between (1) dye concentration A (wt.%), (2) wetting agent concentration B (wt.%), (3) the equilibrium moisture content of said wetting agent E (wt.%), and (4) the dye-dissolving ability of the wetting agent in its equilibrium moisture content D2 (wt.%). The wetting agent is pref. a compound <=0.01mmHg in the vapor pressure at 20 deg.C such as diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol or polypropylene glycol. To meet the recording denseness of >= OD 1, a normally required level, the dye concentration is pref. >=0.5wt.%. |
