PURPOSE:To provide the satellite broadcast reception equipment which reports the normal reception state of a MUSE signal with a simple circuit constitution. CONSTITUTION:A C/N detection voltage value is led out by a video signal processing circuit 1 of the satellite broadcast reception equipment, and the presence or the absence of a frame synchronizing signal is detected by a PCM demodulating circuit 2, and a decoder 3 is provided which discriminates the reception state of the MUSE signal based on the C/N detection voltage value and the detection output of the presence or the absence of the frame synchronizing signal, and a display device 5 is operated by the output of this decoder 3, thus reporting the normal reception state of the MUSE signal.
