PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare simply a high quality image by transferring a transfer layer of a transfer medium under an appropriate state even in the case where a domestic iron or the like is used to execute a transfer process by a method wherein a heat sensitizing part wherein a visual feeling is changed by heating in transfer is provided to at least a part of a rear surface of a carrier. SOLUTION: In an ink jet recording transfer medium, a release layer and a transfer layer are provided on a carrier, and a heat sensitizing part wherein visual feeling is changed by heating in transfer, is provided to at least a part on a rear surface. The transfer medium is used in the case where after forming a required image onto the transfer layer with an ink jet recording method, a material to be transferred such as dishcloth or the like is superimposed on the transfer layer surface, which is heated and pressurized by use of a domestic iron or the like from the rear surface, and the transfer layer is transferred to the dishcloth to form a transfer image. In this case, whether or not transfer temperature is added to the transfer layer can be easily judged with change of visual feeling represented on the heat sensitizing part. Therefore, even in the case where the domestic iron or the like is used, the transfer layer can be easily and surely transferred to the material to be transferred. |
