PURPOSE:To easily check an air blower from the suction opening side whether it is attached or detached and reduce the noise level. CONSTITUTION:A casing K for a ceiling suspended or recessed air conditioner is provided therein with a coarse dust filter 5, an air blower 2, a heat exchanger 1 and a neutral filter 4 arranged in air flow direction in that order from the side of a suction opening 8. The aforesaid arrangement makes any inspecting hole unnecessary and permits the air flow condition to be checked from the suction opening 8 to reduce the level of the noises emitting from an air delivery opening 7.
