PURPOSE:To automatically judge cooling and heating, for which an air conditioning space requires, and realize a comfortable air conditioning space. CONSTITUTION:An air conditioning system has a means 12 for detecting a temperature in a room, an air-conditioner 2 which has a coil 3 allowing cold water or hot water to pass therethrough and which air-conditions the room, and a three-way valve 9 provided in each of the inlet and the outlet of the coil 3 of the air-conditioner 2. Cold water pipes 5, 7 for a cooling mode and hot water pipes 6, 8 for a heating mode for feeding cold water and hot water to the air-conditioner, respectively, are connected to the three-way valves 9, whereby cold water 5 or hot water 6 can be selectively fed to the air- conditioner. It is so controlled that, when the air-conditioner is a cooling mode, the three-way valves are changed over so as to lead hot water to the coil as a heating mode in the case where a room temperature continues for a predetermined period of time at a predetermined level or below, and that, when the air-conditioner is in a heating mode, the three-way valves are changed over so as to lead cold water to the coil as a cooling mode in the case where a room temperature continues for a predetermined period of time at a predetermined level or above.
