PURPOSE:To accurately detect a line of sight by controlling an initial position display in detecting photographer's line of sight and the timing of the other display. CONSTITUTION:A reference display is performed by a part for displaying a line of sight 3 at a prescribed position in a finder in order to decide a direction of photographer's line of sight, photographic information is displayed by an information display part 4 at a prescribed position where the reference display means is not displayed in the finder, an object image and the reference display in the finder observed by the photographer are respectively detected as 1st information on the line of sight and 2nd information on the line of sight corresponding to images on photographer's eyes at a prescribed timing by an eye image detecting part 2, and the direction of photographer's line of sight is decided by a part for detecting the line of sight 5 based on the 1st and 2nd information on the line of sight. However, a displayed state by the information display part 4 is prevented from being varied so as not to distract photographer' s attention during a period from the start of detecting the 1st information on the line of sight to the start of displaying the reference display. |
