摘要 To generate cold temps., two or more adsorbers (1,2) are used, and the heat produced by an adsorber is used to regenerate the other adsorber. At least two adsorbers (1,2) are used alternately, where one is used for cooling and the other is being regenerated. In an intermediate phase, the adsorbers are initially disconnected from the vacuum pump (17) and the evaporator (11), and then temporarily interconnected to equalise their pressures. Hot vapour flows from the heated adsorber at desorption temp. into the charged adsorber to increase its temp. while the temp. of the regenerating adsorber is lowered. The two adsorbers are disconnected from each other and the regenerated adsorber is cooled to the adsorption temp., and the charged adsorber is heated to a desorption temp. The coolant (7) from the hotter adsorber (1,2) is passed through the cooler adsorber (2,1) to be heated to a desorption temp., or part of the coolant flow is used according to temp. and time, and the coolant flow (7) from it is chilled. The adsorbers (1,2) are each connected to an evaporator (11) through a non-return valve (8,9).
