PURPOSE:To provide a selective control method having a reproducing control structure compatible between two selective control methods by providing branch information used by a second control method also in a branch information table used by a first control method as the set of the branch information capable of sharing between both control methods. CONSTITUTION:A control means 31 takes out and stores reproducing control information beforehand recorded on a disk 33 by using a disk reproducing means 32. The means 31 imparts address information in which a menu picture of a stored reproducing control method is stored in the means 32, and reproduces the menu picture beforehand stored in the disk 33 to display on a display means 25. The means 31 receives a key input (n) from a key input means 34. The means 31 judges whether the (n) is an approval (PLAY) key or a disapproval (NEXT) key. When choices are approved, the means 31 refers the stored reproducing information, and obtains a corresponding track number. When the (n) is a number key, the means 31 refers the stored reproducing information, and obtains a track (p) corresponding to an identification number (n).
