A pair of scissors with replaceable blades 12 comprises a pair of shanks 2 which are pivotably coupled to each other 5 and a pair of blades 12 are respectively connectable with the shanks 2. Each blade 12 and its associated shank 2 have end portions sharing a common structure (15, 6: 7, 16: 10 Fig. 2) for detachably coupling the blade 12 with the shank 2. The coupling structure 20 comprises an open ended notch 14 on one of the blade and shank which engages with a rib 5 on the other member.
