Rain water accumulator with top-open collecting chamber

The annular collecting chamber (3) opens into a lateral outlet branch for conducting the rain water into a collector tank. The central through-aperture (9) is formed by the tank annular wall. A deflector cap (10) is located above the through-aperture in the gutter down pipe (1). At the deflector cap outer periphery (10.1) is left a free annular zone (A5) as the cap covers a central surface zone (A4) of the aperture. The annular zone projection overlaps the base surface (A3) of the collecting chamber. Thus, in normal operation, most of the rain water flows into collecting chamber and only a fraction flows into the aperture.
