ESTIMATION METHOD AND DEVICE

PURPOSE: To obtain an estimation method and device consisting of a neural network which can select factor items in an optimum way to reduce labor and a calculation quantity and also can specify a main factor that is effective to the estimated value. CONSTITUTION: A variance analysis means 13 performs the variance analysis of every factor item, and a factor selection means 14 selects a factor item that is effective to an estimated item of a neural network 10 and uses this selected item as an input of the network. At the same time, a remarked factor item is fixed and the output value of other factor items are used as the effective value of the remarked factor item when these output value are replaced with the representative value. Then the factor item serving as the effective value that is similar to the estimated value is specified as a main factor against the value of the estimated item of the network.
